Why Laju

A number on its own is not enough

High throughput does not always feel fast. Laju surfaces the things that are usually hidden, so you can judge for yourself.

  • IPv4 and IPv6 together

    Most tools show only one address. Laju checks both through separate hostnames, so you can tell whether your network is IPv6-ready.

  • Latency while the line is busy

    We measure latency again during the download. The difference explains why video calls stutter on connections that are supposedly fast.

  • No account, no ads

    No sign-up, no advertising trackers, and test history that never leaves your own browser.

  • A method you can inspect

    Durations, parallel connections and warm-up windows are published on the How It Works page instead of being treated as a secret.

Method

We write down what is actually measured

Every run pulls random data from our own server, counts the bytes that truly arrive, and discards the warm-up window before averaging.

A Laju result describes the path between your browser and one test server at that moment. It is not an official measurement for a claim against your provider, and it can differ from tools that use other servers, durations or connection counts.
